Two-time winner of the prestigious International Historic Motoring Awards, “The Amelia” draws over 300 rare vehicles from collections around the world for a celebration of the automobile like no other. Honoring four-time Indianapolis 500 winner, Al Unser Sr., and celebrating the Jaguar D-Type, the 2017 event will also feature streamliners, The Cars of Marmon, Brumos Racing, Japanese Power, and The Cars of the Movies. Since 1996, the show’s Foundation has donated over $3.0 million to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, Inc., Spina Bifida of Jacksonville, The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, Shop with Cops, and other deserving charities.

Porsche Driving Experience

The Porsche Driving Experience and the speed runs with Le Mans and Daytona winner Hurley Haywood return. In addition to the high performance, high speed driving exercises at NAS Mayport, the Porsche Driving Experience will also visit two private local car collections.

The Amelia’s Cars & Coffee at the Concours allows individuals with vintage, exotic, and collectible vehicles to gather on the same show field used to display vehicles entered in the following day’s prestigious Concours d’Elegance. Proud owners of beautiful collectible and exotic vehicles gather with like-minded enthusiasts on the fairways for a cup or two of fresh coffee. The AICDE views Cars & Coffee as a gift to the community, a family-friendly “thank you” for supporting the event.

FESTIVALS OF SPEED
OMNI AMELIA ISLAND PLANTATION RESORT

The event kicks off Friday night, March 10th, 2017, with a luxury lifestyle cocktail reception featuring an incredible display of the world’s most exotic cars, custom created motorcycles, and luxury lifestyle products. The reception will also include cocktails, mouthwatering food displays, live music, and a live and silent auction to benefit Communities In Schools of Nassau County. The event showcases an array of vintage and contemporary vehicles of all makes and models, and offers the opportunity to view some of the world’s most exotic supercars, custom motorcycles, watercraft, and other extraordinary vehicles. In 2014, Festivals of Speed brought $50,000 in much needed funding to Communities In Schools to provide additional services to more Nassau County children and teens.

WERKS REUNION
OMNI AMELIA ISLAND PLANTATION RESORT

Porsche Club of America (PCA) welcomes all Porsche clubs, owners, and enthusiasts to the first annual Werks Reunion Amelia Island. Membership in PCA is not required to participate in this celebration of Porsche automobiles. Expect to view a breathtaking array of Porsches at this free-to-spectators event, from rare classics to current models and everything in between. Display your own cherished car in model-specific Porsche Corrals or enter the Porsche Judged Field and compete to win in more than 20 prize categories. Werks Reunion was created by the Porsche Club of America as an event to celebrate both the Porsche marque as well as the camaraderie of being an enthusiast.

Motostalgia Amelia Island Auction

Motostalgia will again join the motoring elite on the stage set at Amelia Island for their second annual collector car auction.  Motostalgia’s weekend of events kicks off Thursday with a display preview and culminate on Saturday, March 11, at 5 PM when the 95 collector cars roll across the block. Motostalgia’s catalog for the 2017 Amelia Island features the widest breadth of collector cars on the island, from iconic American muscle, Italian classics, racing powerhouses, and a broad sampling of the most exotic modern supercars.

2017 AMELIA ISLAND VINTAGE GRAN PRIX

Sportscar Vintage Racing Association’s Amelia Island Vintage Gran Prix adds the heart-pounding excitement of vintage car racing to the established prestige of classic automobile events during 2017’s Amelia Concours Week. The Vintage Gran Prix line-up from March 16-19 (with races open to the ticketed public on March 18 and 19) will excite enthusiasts of any age and includes not only auto racing, but also vintage aircraft flyovers, vintage motorcycle demonstrations, a “Show & Shine” car show, and a children’s Pine Wood Derby. The Fernandina Beach Municipal airport, originally built as a training facility for pilots of the WW2 era, will also display aircraft including General George Patton’s observation plane from WW2 on display.
